A couple, a Macau studio, and a gap in the record

Rose Medallion is run by a married couple, Kerry Kwok and Simon Iong.

Kerry has taught porcelain painting (瓷繪) for many years and studied under the Macau Canton-porcelain master Lei Iat Po. She runs GoodTime Studio Macau (樂陶藝術中心), where she teaches and hand-paints Canton famille rose (廣彩) and Jingdezhen-style work.

Simon spent years in e-commerce marketing and large-scale web architecture, and lived in Canada and the US before returning to Macau. Looking for good English-language material on 廣彩, he found almost none, so we started Rose Medallion to explain this tradition to Western collectors, and to make it possible to order a custom hand-painted plate of your own.
